One of the benefits of using high fire stoneware is the ability to use incredibly dynamic and reactive glazes, such as the shino glaze used on this bowl. It ranges from tan to yellow to orange with metallic qualities in some areas. I layered it with broad brush strokes of a copper-based clay and I love the result!
